The Press

An independent publishing house built around truth, conviction, intellectual freedom, and literary craft.

Publishing should make room for serious ideas and meaningful stories, including works that challenge prevailing assumptions.

Why Veritas?

A Publishing Opportunity for Writers Who Deserve to Be Heard

The publishing world can be difficult to enter. Many talented writers struggle to find a publisher—not because their work lacks value, but because they do not yet have the platform, connections, commercial profile, or established name that traditional publishing often demands.

Veritas Covenant Press was created, in part, to open another door.

We believe that a writer should not have to be famous before being given a serious opportunity. We want to provide a platform for thoughtful authors whose work may struggle to find a home elsewhere—writers with something meaningful to say, stories worth telling, and books that deserve to reach readers.

But accessibility does not mean that our standards are low.

We are selective about what we publish. We look for manuscripts with substance, originality, literary quality, and a clear sense of purpose. A manuscript does not need to follow a prevailing trend or fit neatly into the expectations of the mainstream publishing industry. But it does need to give readers a reason to care.

We are particularly interested in writers who bring distinctive voices, fresh perspectives, compelling stories, and serious ideas to the page.

What We Hope to Offer Authors

At Veritas Covenant Press, we want the publishing relationship to be about more than simply putting a book into print. We want to help authors bring their work into the world with professional presentation, thoughtful editorial guidance, and genuine respect for the work they have created.

For authors who have encountered closed doors, unanswered submissions, or publishing decisions driven primarily by marketability, we hope to provide a different kind of opportunity: a serious consideration of the work itself.

We cannot promise publication to every author who submits a manuscript. Nor would we want to. Our reputation depends upon the quality of the books we publish and the trust of the readers who discover them.

What we can promise is that we will take serious submissions seriously.

A Complete Publishing Relationship

Our commitment extends beyond the manuscript itself. For accepted titles, we seek to guide the work through the practical stages of publication—from editorial development and professional design to formatting, publication information, distribution, marketing support, and royalty reporting.

We believe authors should understand the journey their book will take and the responsibilities shared by author and publisher along the way.

Independent in Spirit

Our list is intentionally independent in spirit. We seek books that are thoughtful rather than fashionable, courageous rather than careless, and engaging rather than merely provocative.

We are willing to consider ideas that challenge prevailing assumptions, provided they are expressed with intellectual seriousness, sound reasoning, and respect for the reader. We believe publishing is strongest when writers are free to explore difficult questions, defend unpopular convictions, tell uncomfortable stories, and examine the world from perspectives that may not always receive a hearing elsewhere.

A Name with a Purpose

Our name reflects the values at the center of the press: veritas—truth—and covenant—the seriousness of commitments made and kept.

Together, they express something fundamental about how we approach publishing: truth matters, and so do our commitments to authors and readers.

We are building a publishing house where writers can aspire to more than simply seeing their name on a book cover. We want to help bring meaningful books into the world—and give deserving authors the opportunity to be heard.

What We Publish

We welcome serious work across a broad range of nonfiction and fiction, while remaining selective about the manuscripts we acquire.
