For Authors

Distribution & Availability

We work through established publishing and distribution networks to make eligible Veritas titles accessible to readers, booksellers, libraries, and institutions.

Where your book can reach readers

Availability depends on format, territory, title eligibility, and the requirements of individual channels. Our objective is broad, reliable availability rather than dependence on a single marketplace.

Bookstores

Retail & Bookstore Channels

Eligible print titles may be made available through established wholesale and distribution channels serving major retailers, Barnes & Noble, and independent bookstores in the United States.

Libraries

Library Distribution

Eligible print and digital titles may be made available through established library channels, including platforms such as OverDrive, cloudLibrary, Hoopla, and BorrowBox, where supported.

International

Readers Beyond the U.S.

Where supported by the applicable distribution network, titles may be available to readers and institutions in international markets.

Important Distinction

Distribution is availability—not guaranteed shelf placement.

Making a title available through a bookstore or library distribution channel means that the title can be ordered through that channel when eligible. It does not mean that every bookstore or library will automatically purchase, stock, display, or feature the book.

Individual retailers and libraries make their own acquisition and stocking decisions. Veritas works to maximize availability and discoverability while authors can help create demand in the communities and markets they know best.

Authors can help

Introduce the book to relevant bookstores
Connect with local and university libraries
Share accurate ordering information
Build relationships with readers and organizations
Participate in interviews and podcasts
Support launch and promotional campaigns

Distribution is part of the publishing relationship.

Our responsibility is to prepare and make eligible titles available through established channels. The author's role is equally important: helping the book reach the people and communities most likely to value it.
